A spring pin is a mechanical fastener that secures the position of two or more parts of a machine relative to each other. Spring pins have a body diameter which is larger than the hole diameter, and a chamfer on either one or both ends to facilitate starting the pin into the hole.
316 stainless steel pins have the best corrosion resistance of our stainless steel pins, and are as strong as 18-8 stainless steel pins.
420 stainless steel pins are as strong and wear resistant as steel, with the addition of corrosion resistance in wet environments.
HOW TO USE: Align the spring pin with the appropriately sized drilled hole. Tap the end of the pin extending beyond the jaws of the pliers with a ball-peen hammer. Release your grip with the needle-nose pliers when the spring pin sits tightly in the hole. Set the tapered end of the spring pin set on the end of the spring pin.
